General Protection
ARAA’s general protection work is grounded in ensuring that individuals and families facing heightened vulnerabilities can access their rights, essential services, and timely support. Our teams conduct regular protection monitoring to identify risks, document concerns, and connect people with appropriate assistance through safe and confidential pathways.
We provide legal assistance and legal aid to help individuals navigate documentation challenges, civil cases, and protection-related legal barriers. For households facing urgent risks, ARAA delivers Cash for Protection to address immediate safety needs and prevent negative coping strategies. Our trained staff offer psychosocial support (MHPSS) and maintain a survivor-centered approach for those affected by distress, violence, or displacement.
A core component of our work is Protection Case Management, where individuals with complex needs receive tailored support plans, follow-up, and coordinated referrals. We also address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) risks by providing safe referrals, awareness-raising, and community engagement to promote dignity, safety, and inclusion. Through these combined efforts, ARAA helps communities strengthen their resilience and reduce protection risks in a principled, accountable, and humane manner.
Child Protection
ARAA focuses on strengthening protective systems that ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at risk. Our teams work closely with communities to identify children facing violence, exploitation, neglect, or other protection concerns. A key component of our work is Child Protection Case Management, where trained staff provide individualized support, develop action plans with caregivers, and coordinate referrals to specialized services such as psychosocial support, family tracing, health care, and education. Alongside case management, ARAA conducts community awareness sessions on child rights, supports positive parenting practices, and collaborates with local structures to create safe, supportive environments where children can grow and recover with dignity.
