Brief Information about the Project

ARAA ensures that its Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services are delivered in full alignment with UNHCR’s Multi-Year MHPSS Strategy (2024–2027). Our interventions adhere to international standards, including the IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings, the Minimum Service Package for MHPSS, UNHCR’s Operational Guidance on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Programming for Refugees, and the UNHCR Standard Operating Procedures for MHPSS in Afghanistan.

Through a combination of individual counseling, group counseling, and awareness-raising activities, ARAA provides comprehensive support to vulnerable populations, including returnees, displaced persons, and refugees. These interventions are designed to promote emotional well-being, strengthen coping mechanisms, and enhance community resilience, ensuring that mental health and psychosocial care is both accessible and culturally sensitive.
